If OMN4 feels slow or the device is running out of space, the usual causes are limited free storage, large offline map libraries, or slower secondary storage.

Quick Wins

• close other heavy apps
• restart the device
• make sure there is healthy free storage available
• remove map data you no longer need offline

Storage Tips

• keep only the map types and areas you actively use on that device
• use secondary storage features where supported if your main device storage is tight
• remember that downloaded maps can be much larger than route and sync data

If Performance Drops After Moving Data

Some storage locations are slower than others. If map opening, search, or map management feels sluggish after moving data, try keeping frequently used content on faster local storage.

The storage total on disk and the sum of individual map sizes are not always the same, because some downloaded areas share underlying data.
