Download Issues

Use this page when a map download will not start, seems stuck, waits for Wi-Fi, or finishes with missing coverage.

Before You Retry

  1. Check that you are signed in to the account that owns the map access.
  2. Check the device has a working connection.
  3. Check there is enough free storage.
  4. Open Map Management and check the status of the area and map type.
  5. If a download is already queued or active, let it finish or cancel it before starting another large change.

What to expect: OMN4 queues map work. Large downloads can take time to prepare before progress starts.

Check Data Settings

If the download waits for Wi-Fi or never starts on the current connection:

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Open Data if that section is shown on your device.
  3. Check Map Download.
  4. If Map Download is set to WiFi Only, connect to Wi-Fi or choose a setting that allows the current connection.
  5. If downloads are disabled, enable them before returning to Map Management.

Turning off map downloads does not remove existing downloaded maps. It only limits when OMN4 can fetch new map data.

If Coverage Is Still Missing

  1. Open Map Management again.
  2. Select the map type you downloaded.
  3. Check whether the row says Partial on device, Partial Outdated, Downloaded Outdated, or On device.
  4. Use update actions if OMN4 offers them.
  5. Open Verification and run Verify Map Data if downloaded maps look incomplete or corrupted.

What to expect: verification blocks new download, delete, and move operations while it runs.

If A Download Keeps Failing

  1. Try a more stable connection.
  2. Free some device storage.
  3. Close OMN4 and open it again.
  4. Try a smaller selected area before retrying a whole map.
  5. Email support if the same area repeatedly fails.

Include the account email, platform, app version from Settings > About, area, map type, and whether the failure happens on Wi-Fi, mobile data, or both.
