Start a Tracklog

Start a tracklog when you want OMN4 to record where you have been.

Start Recording

1. Open the map on your phone or tablet.
2. Turn GPS on if it is not already active.
3. Open the tracklog controls from the GPS workflow.
4. Start recording.

OMN4 then begins saving track points using the recording rules in your GPS settings.

While Recording

• the GPS button changes to a tracklog variant
• the app keeps using live location
• dragging the map can break automatic centering, but recording continues

Where The Tracklog Goes

OMN4 saves the tracklog into the folder named in Settings > GPS. The default is usually a tracklogs folder, but you can change that name.

Before A Long Day Out

• confirm GPS permission is allowed
• confirm maps are available offline if signal may be poor
• test the first few minutes of recording before you leave coverage behind
