Edit Mode

Edit mode is the map-based workflow for changing a route or waypoint directly on the map.

What Edit Mode Is For

Use it when the route line itself needs changing, rather than just the name or folder.

Typical Tasks

• drag a point to a better position
• insert a point where the route needs more shape
• delete a route point you no longer want
• finish the edit and return to normal map use

Good Practice

• zoom in before making small changes
• make one clear change at a time
• review the finished route before syncing it to other devices

Mobile And Desktop

Both desktop and mobile support route editing, but desktop is usually easier for fine adjustments because of the larger screen and mouse control.
