Getting Started
Install on Android
Install OMN4 on your Android phone or tablet from Google Play, then sign in with your OMN account.
Requirements
OMN4 requires Android 11 or later.
Install
- On your Android device, open the OMN4 download page and choose Google Play.
- Google Play opens at OMN4, which it lists as Outdoor Map Navigator 4. Tap Install.
- Open OMN4 when installation finishes.
OMN4 is a separate app from OMN2 and OMN3, so make sure you install OMN4 itself.
After Installation
- When OMN4 first opens, it shows a few pages about OMN4. If you already have an account, tap Have an account? Sign in. You can sign in with Apple, Google, or email.
- If you are new to OMN4, create your account, then start your free trial or choose a plan when the app asks. If you already subscribe, sign in with the email address your subscription uses and your plan appears.
- Let the first sync complete.
- Open Map Management if you want maps available offline.
Updates
Google Play keeps OMN4 up to date. If you have turned off automatic updates, open OMN4's page in Google Play and tap Update.
Testing Pre-Release Versions
If Anquet has invited you to test pre-release versions of OMN4, join the test from the invitation link using the Google account signed in to Google Play. Test builds then arrive as updates to the same OMN4 app.
Notes For Android
- GPS and background tracklogs depend on Android location permissions.
- Some Android devices are aggressive about battery saving. If background tracklogs stop unexpectedly, see Android.
- For large map downloads, leave OMN4 open until the queue is well underway or complete.
