What Syncs

OMN4 sync is mainly for your personal working data, not for every file the app uses.

Usually Synced

• routes
• tracks
• waypoints
• settings
• activity types
• supported icon imports and related preferences

Usually Not Synced

• downloaded offline maps
• temporary caches
• platform permissions such as location access

Why The Difference Matters

User data is usually small enough and important enough to keep in cloud sync. Offline map data can be very large, so it is managed per device instead.

That is why a new installation can restore your route library without automatically filling the device with all of your previous offline mapping.
