Offline Maps
Do Downloaded Maps Work Without Signal?
Yes. Once you download maps to the device, OMN4 can use that map data without a live internet connection.
Do I Need To Download Everything Before A Trip?
No. Download only the areas and map types you expect to need. Use Map Management to choose the coverage you want before leaving reliable signal.
Are Downloaded Maps Synced To My Other Devices?
No. Sync is for personal working data such as routes, tracks, and waypoints. Offline maps are managed per device, so each phone, tablet, or computer needs its own downloads.
Why Does Storage Size Not Always Match The Sum Of The Listed Maps?
Some map areas share underlying data. OMN4 shows useful per-map sizes in the list, but the total storage used on disk reflects overlaps as well. See Storage and Verification for the detail.
