OMN Help
Printing

Print Settings

Before printing, OMN4 lets you choose the basic output settings that affect what is printed and how it fits on the page.

Main Settings

  • printer selection
  • paper size and orientation
  • map type to print
  • grid lines
  • grid numbers

Why Map Type Matters

The map you print does not always have to match the layer currently on screen. If more than one map type is available for the area, choose the one that best suits the trip or print purpose.

Grid Options

  • use grid lines if you want coordinate squares visible on the paper map
  • use grid numbers if you want printed coordinate references to be easier to read

Tip

If the print area looks right but the paper result does not, check the selected printer and orientation first. Those two settings often explain why the print box changes shape.
