Map Updates
Map updates are changes to the mapping data available for supported map types in OMN4. They are separate from OMN4 app releases, and they are not the same as choosing a new offline download.

How map updates fit with downloads
A map update means newer map data is available for a map type your account can use. OMN4 checks what is available for your account, area, and map type, then shows when downloaded map data on a device needs attention.
Downloaded maps are managed per device. Updating downloaded map data on one phone, tablet, or desktop does not automatically update the same area on another device.
When updates are available
The detail of each update can vary by map product and area. Not every update affects the downloaded areas or map types you use.
When a downloaded map needs updating, OMN4 shows that state in Map Management. For the actions you may see, including Update All and Update & Download All, see Download Maps.
If updated data still looks incomplete or wrong after download work finishes, use Verify Map Data from Map Management.
