Uninstall Public Beta 4.0.2711 or earlier and install the latest from Microsoft Store

Install OMN4 from Microsoft Store, which handles future app updates. This installs a separate copy of OMN4. Check your data in it before uninstalling the old version.

Check Your Version

Open OMN4 and go to Settings > About. Note the app version.

If your version is 4.0.2711 or earlier, follow the steps below.

Before You Start

Keep your existing installation until you have checked the replacement. Removing it can delete its local data, including maps stored inside the app's private storage.

1. Open your existing OMN4 installation while connected to the internet and let sync finish. Resolve any sync problems first.
2. Keep a separate GPX export of any routes, tracks or waypoints you cannot confirm have synced.
3. Note where your offline maps are stored in Map Management. Signing in to the replacement does not automatically transfer offline map files.
4. Use the same OMN4 account and sign-in method in the replacement.

Install and Check the Store Version

1. Close your existing OMN4 app.
2. Open OMN4 in Microsoft Store and install it.
3. Open OMN4 from its Store page so you know which installation you are using.
4. Sign in and let sync finish.
5. Open Settings > About and check that the version is 4.0.2734 or later.
6. Check your subscription, routes, tracks and waypoints before making new edits.
7. Check your offline maps. If you used a separate map folder, select that location in Map Management and verify the map data. Otherwise, download the maps you need in the Store version. Test them offline before relying on them outdoors.

If Windows refuses the installation, or anything is missing, keep the old app and contact Anquet support. Do not uninstall it to try to fix the problem.

Remove the Old Installation

Once you have verified your data and maps in the Store version, remove the old OMN4 installation using Windows Settings. You may see two similarly named apps: use the old version number you noted earlier to identify the installation to remove. Keep the version you have just installed and checked. If you cannot tell them apart, contact support first.

Update any pinned shortcuts to open the Store version. Future routine app updates come through Microsoft Store.
