Search Filters

After OMN4 returns place-search results, it can offer filters based on the kinds of result it has found.

How Filters Work

  • The first row of filter chips shows the most useful result types for the current search.
  • All returns to the full set.
  • More opens the longer list when there are more categories than can fit on the page.
  • Reset clears the current filter selection.

Typical Use

If a search returns a mix of villages, roads, hills, and other features:

  1. Run the search as normal.
  2. Tap the chip that best matches what you want.
  3. If the chip is not visible, open More.
  4. Tap Reset if you want the full list again.

When Filters Help Most

  • common place names
  • short searches that match many result types
  • searches where you only want one kind of result, such as settlements or roads
